there are more than three reasons that my issue, immigration, exists but the three top reasons are a search for a better life, security, and to reunite with family members. Immigrants often emigrate because they have this ideal dream that leaving their countries is the best for them because there are better opportunities elsewhere. Some people believe in “The American Dream.” This is, according to the dictionary, “ the ideals of freedom, equality, and opportunity traditionally held to be available to every American.” Meaning that everyone can be entitled to something I am sure everyone wants; freedom, equality, and opportunities. Others emigrate because they want to be secure. In some countries there is inevitable violence. People try to escape the dangers in their hometowns so they flee. These are the push and pull factors. Some are pushed to leave and others are pulled to leave. A third top reason why immigration occurs is because people want to reunite with their families. Some people are separated for their own safety and others are just torn away from them so they would do anything to reunite with them.
“The Northern Triangle region of Central America includes the small, but strikingly violent countries of El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala. Honduras has been recognized as the murder capital of the world for many years, with its homicide rate peaking in 2011 at 91.6 murders per 100,000 people.”
